The 2021 Jeep Wrangler's Powertrains and Capability
With four options to choose from, the 2021 Wrangler offers an engine for every occasion. The standard powertrain for the 2021 Wrangler is Jeep's classic 285 horsepower 3.6L Pentastar V6. For an improved and more efficient V6, check out the 3.6L Pentastar with eTorque. At 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque, the eTorque engine offers the same stats as the standard V6, but with an extra 1.5 miles of average fuel economy. The next two engines are ideal for off-roading.ÂFirst is the 2.0L Turbo with 270 ponies and 295 lb.-ft of torque. Second, we have the most powerful and fuel-efficient engine in the Wrangler lineup, Jeep's 3.0L Eco Diesel V6 engine. With 260 horsepower and an impressive 442 lb.-ft of torque, this engine has incredible strength, making it ideal for traversing difficult terrain. The Eco Diesel V6 gets an EPA estimated 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. For a plus that all Wrangler owners can enjoy, every engine gives the SUV the ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds. All Wranglers also proudly bear Jeep's Trail Rated badge of honor.
The interior of the 2021 Wrangler is as customizable as any other part of the Jeep. Owners can go for a more bare-bones base model with cloth seats, or upgrade to a higher trim that features leather upholstery in addition to more technology features. Jeep does a great job at adding small details and design accents depending on your trim and package choice, so be sure to keep an eye out for interior easter eggs.Â
